An experience to build connection to Soul, Self, Israel and the Jewish People
A joint program with Livnot U’Lehibanot and Tal Orot
May 7-12, 2018
A five-day program for exploring personal connections to Judaism for adults, open to men and women of all backgrounds
In the beautiful mystical city of Tzfat (Safed), Israel, with its spiritual atmosphere long associated with the living practice of Kabbalah, set in the charming campus of Livnot U’Lehibanot
We will apply the kabbalistic principle of cultivating wholeness in all dimensions of our lives, offering a range of challenging and inspiring activities for refreshing and renovating our spirit:
- Spiritual Practices, including authentic Jewish meditation and in-depth study of our spiritual heritage (Emanation)
- Hiking in the mountains of the northern Galil (Creation)
- Art projects and Music experiences guided by talented instructors of the Tzfat Art and Music community (Formation)
- Community Service, providing meaningful and necessary assistance to segments of the community who are in need (Action)
Led by Rabbi Dr. Meir and Anne Sendor and the staff of Livnot U’Lehibanot
With an extension option for a two-day intensive workshop in Jewish Meditation with Rabbi Sendor, May 13-14
GOALS OF PROGRAM
Give yourself the opportunity to take a deeper look at what it means to be Jewish. Livnot U’Lehibanot was founded to give all Jews a chance to explore their roots. Here, at your stage and at your pace, we offer that experience, to embrace your heritage and make it truly your own. Since you have much real valuable life experience, we are using the term Renovation to show that we can build upon the past, finding what areas could use some reinforcement and thereby strengthening ourselves for the future. Taking advantage of the gifts that the city of Tzfat offers, we will explore the natural beauty of the area as well as connect to some leaders in these fields of Jewish mysticism, art, culture, and community service. We include meaningful study of these topics with sources from our heritage. For those interested, we offer sessions of authentic Jewish meditation.
